We have sprouting, and today we planted our set of beans.

Don't worry if you're not as far ahead as this, especially those of you who are up North! Even when it's raining (as it is yet again today, making dragging compost to the back greenhouse a true delight) it's pretty warm down here, so our beans are speeding ahead. Planting should happen by the end of this week.

We had a few problem with mold on the surface of the beans (as in picture 1 below), but it washes off easily and doesn't harm the plant - it's generally just the outside that has gone furry. Pictures below - first our little sprouting tray; then planting one of the beans; Linda watering them in (with impromptu watering rose of fingers, as the one from our can has gone missing); and ready to g(r)o(w)!
